The HockeyShot Dangle Puck 2.0 is the smoothest off-ice training puck. Designed to be the best gliding puck, on a flat surface the Dangle Puck 2.0 imitates the sensation of a traditional puck on ice. The puck contains a stainless steel ball bearing on both sides of the puck, allowing you to stickhandle smoothly, as if you were on real ice. This puck glides effortlessly, on a flat surface, such as our All-Star Dryland flooring Tiles, Synthetic Ice Revolution Tiles or any of our shooting pads.
When practicing off-ice with a traditional black puck, it doesn’t glide as smoothly as the Dangle Puck 2.0 does. This has an effect on the player as when you go back on the ice with a traditional puck, it moves a lot faster than when practicing, so it takes a few minutes to adjust to the glide speed. As when practicing with the Dangle Puck 2.0 on a smooth flat surface, this stimulates a real ice-like feeling, creating a smooth transition when putting the practice into play on the ice.
Although the main feature of the Dangle Puck 2.0 is the effortless glide, this puck can also be used for shooting. If you want to practice a stickhandling drill and finish with a shot, the Dangle Puck 2.0 has you covered. Though this puck can be shot, this puck is not designed to be shot at high speeds. The Dangle Puck 2.0 has a shooting speed limit of 50 mph (90 kph). The Dangle Puck 2.0 has many upgraded features from the original such as:
