Recent NHL Draft Picks, Michael & Ryan McLeod Train With HS - Part 1

Newly drafted players Michael and Ryan McLeod are familiar with how much work it takes to get to the NHL level. To continue to succeed they need to elevate their training. Watch them showcase their skills with the latest HockeyShot training tools.

Check out these skills! Today we have a set of star studded hockey tutorial videos for you. First up we have brother’s Ryan and Michael McLeod, who have been training over at the BTNL Training Centre using only the best HockeyShot products. Michael was drafted in 2016 to the New Jersey Devils as the #12 pick in the first round. Ryan, following in his brother’s footsteps, was drafted in 2018 to the Edmonton Oilers.

Here we see Ryan using the HockeyShot Speed Deke Trainer. Both McLeod brothers have been using the Speed Deke to improve their stick handling and create a flexible space to be able to deke. Keep up the great work, Michael!

His deft puck handling skills and control over his speed are the defining aspects of his offensive abilities.

Next up Ryan demonstrates the ultra-useful Extreme Defender. Ryan has been using the Extreme Defender during weeks of training, and it still looks as good as ever! As ISS Hockey 2017 said , he is an “effortless skater, extremely fluid in all aspects, great speed & edges”, 2018 is expected to be Ryan’s breakout year.

After getting his offensive practice on the Extreme Glide Synthetic Ice, Ryan goes for the goal with the Extreme Shooter Tutor. Congratulations on being chosen 40th overall at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Connor McDavid and the rest of the Oilers are lucky to have you.

Chances are you have heard of Pavel Barber, the legendary stickhandling specialist. After 20+ years in the business, Pavel has brought a new dimension to Hockey Training Camps by providing coaching on areas of expertise that not many players have. HockeyShot is constantly working with hockey professionals like Pavel to create new and inventive ways to help you improve your game. His skills are next level, the technology is advanced, and the players just keep getting better.

Finally, we leave you with a teaser from the NHL Professional Camp in August 2017.

HockeyShot and BTNL love to work with professional athletes to see how we can improve the training of those who aspire to be in the NHL. Even the pros use HockeyShot equipment, like the Speed Deke off-ice trainer you see in the videos below. Keep watching for more training videos so you can play like the NHL star of your dreams!
